Whenever we're in Dallas, I have to stop by the Grand Lux and get a box of their pecan chocolate chip cookies to go. They are so delicious!
This recipe was a result of many attempts to replicate their cookies. It's pretty darn close. I hope you will love them as much as we do.
Chewy Pecan and Chocolate Chip Cookies

Yield: 30 Cookies
2 cups flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon salt
2 sticks of unsalted butter, softened
½ cup white sugar
1 ¼ cup dark brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 ½ cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecan pieces
Preheat oven to 350.
Whisk together flour, soda and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
In a mixer, combine butter and sugars. Add vanilla and eggs.
Add flour mixture in two batches. Fold in nuts and chips.
Bake rounded teaspoonful’s on a baking sheet sprayed with
nonstick cooking spray for about 10 minutes, or until just done.
