I can't believe that yesterday was my fourth mother's day! Crazy! We spent the day with my parents at our cabin. My great-grandmother who had just turned 100 passed away last week, so my parents had been gone for her funeral, but made it back in time for mother's day.

My family knows me so well. All my mothers day gifts came from Williams-Sonoma! Ha! I received a huge belgium waffle maker and a food mill (I have really been wanting both of those!). I got my mom signed Ina Garten (Barefoot Contessa) cookbooks and some new oven mitts. She has probably had her oven mitts for 30 years and the last time I was helping cook at her house I burned my hand on her oven, hence the new mitts!Last night I found out that my Spicy Tomato Soup was featured on the front page of Food Gawker which was a nice surprise!
