A year ago today, at 4:00 I left the house to check into the hospital:
I thought a lot about what I was going to share about that night. The sad thing is I don't remember much about it because the events of the next day - of the next 5 weeks - have taken over those memories.
But I also didn't want today to pass by without remembering this moment.
I do remember medicine and grape popsicles and our family heading down for cafeteria food. I also remember them giving me Ambien, promising that it would make me sleep - it didn't. Ha!
Tomorrow we are planning a special trip for Brayden's birthday...guesses??
(And for those who asked, here is the first post I did on pompoms with a link to instructions).

You are such a beautiful pregnant person!
I know what you mean about memories being overshadowed. My daughter was born at 32 weeks and with everything going on around us I dont remember alot of the details of her birth. No first cry or first moments, it breaks my heart....
You look amazing on your hospital check in day :)
Cannot believe how fast this year went!
I would imagine you will take sweet Brayden back to the place he was born and let everyone who took care of him see him and what a big healthy boy he has become over the last year! Wow I can't believe it has been 1 yr. already! Happy Birthday Brayden :o)
BTW, you looked fabulous 9 months preggo!
You look great in this photo! I love your top! Have a great trip!
My guess is ACH, where God used the doctors to save your precious angel. :)
My guess is that you are going to visit the hospital! :)
Jenna- I wasn't a follower of your blog when Brayden was born, what happened?
What a cute pic of you! My guess is that you are either going to take him to the hospital where he was born or go to ACH...have a great time wherever it is you are going!
the hospital to the doctor that delivered him? or ACH? the zoo? I just love the zoo so I had to throw the last one in there...afterall, the boy loves a monkey. Haha.
To the NICU where Brayden spent those five weeks to visit the nurses that took care of him!
So glad that sweet boy is thriving!!!!! :) He is definitely a miracle baby!!
I was given Ambien, too! Didn't help me sleep but I swear it calmed me down for the events to follow the next day. I'm convinced that I could not have been that calm AWAKE on an operating table without it!!
