Here we are with our girls and the trailer loaded down with food! We gathered in 1894 non-perishable items out of the grand total of 11,200! Our girls will get some sort of prize this Wednesday during youth worship.
They were doing the counting in the church parking lot. B somehow slept through the whole thing!
Yesterday everyone was beat. My inlaws left for Tulsa right after service (we were hoping to go to lunch but everyone was just too tired!) and we headed home. Brayden took a record nap - 3.5 hours! We had to wake him up! I even napped for a couple of hours - something I never do!
It was such a great weekend! I'm already looking forward to next year!

That is sooo azaming - great job!!!!!! We do the same kind of thing at work and never came close to that amount of food in our collection!
Soooooo fun! We had most of those same girls at our house 2 years ago when they were in 10th grade - they were so sweet - I just love them all! I wish we could have done DNOW this year but I just couldn't pull it off with Harper. Maybe in a few years! ha!
Love it! This was the first year in the last 5 years we haven't been able to help with DNOW, and I missed it! Ya'll had a great group of girls--there are some very sweet girls and awesome testimonies in that group. Very good idea on the canned food drive--senior girls should win, anyway, right??!!
Was that really all from our neighborhood? I don't know about you, but I just love our neighborhood. Anyways, I let Quinn help put stuff into the DNOW bag and she was insistent in putting a bag a Goldfish. I tried to explain to her that Goldfish weren't a non-perishable item (try telling that to a 2 year old), so I talked her into giving a box of Jello, which is a favorite of hers right now, to go along with the rest of the canned goods. :)
Awe, yay and awesome job!
