I guess they thought he could have swine flu! He texted me and said "They made me wear a mask. The nice thing is I have the waiting room to myself...I sat down and people slowly started moving..."I can see why! Thankfully it just turned out to be a viral infection - he got a shot and a special diet for the next 2 days (called the BRAT diet, haha).
So if you ever want a little privacy in the waiting room, take one of these with you...

I had to be fit for one of those on Monday since I'm in nursing school...it's not just any mask but an N-95 respirator. Those are like the big guns of masks....so he wasn't going to catch anything from that waiting room either haha. Hope he feels better soon!

Hey Jenna - I got your post. I did NOT feel judged by you at all. I was reading through the comments and it seemed like the post became a launching place for others to speak doom and negativity. Okay how have I been pregnant twice and never heard of this BRAT diet? HA HA anyway, a girl that works 2 offices down from seriously has the H1N1 virus! She was told to not come back to work for the next week, thank goodness. My coworker and I sucked it up and went into her office and disinfected everything! Then scrubbed our hands up to our elbows as if preparing for surgery!
I took my daughter to the ER, not for flu like symptoms, last week. Everyone there with flu like symptoms, got mask. My daughter, 10 looked around like there was something wrong. She held her breath walking past people with mask. "I don't want to get what they have." She said.
We both thought, What are they going to give the people who don't have flu symptoms to protect them from the others?!
