Guess who's 3 weeks old?
Who me?!
Unfortunately I didn't get to spend much time with him today. I have a really bad sinus infection, and wore a mask when I went to see him, but I didn't want to be back there coughing, since it isn't good for any of the babies.
Mom, Dad and Chris took turns taking my place though!
Nothing really happened today. Tomorrow Brayden will be given Thick-It again (to thicken his formula). At some point this week they are going to do a swallow study to see if his formula is leaking into his airway, which they don't really think it is, but it's something they want to rule out. If needed, they are going to start him on the med that coats his throat to heal it from the reflux.
He is on 60ml's now which is full feed. So all we need is for him to take his feeds from the bottle then we can go home! It may be another week or so...
Thank you for diligently praying for babies "E" and "B." I am happy to report they have both made improvements today!

So sorry you're feeling sick! It's hard to have to stay away from your sweet baby boy, we know. Grateful prayers for the uplifting news that Babies "B" and "E" have improved! Thank you for updating us. Meanwhile, prayers continue for them and for the same solid progress Brayden seems to make every day. May you have something to smile about all day tomorrow!
Continuing to pray for Brayden and that he will take the bottle! Bottles are good things little man!! I will keep praying for all the babies in the NICU as well as you with your sinus infection. ugh! Take care of yourself...don't forget. :) He needs you. You are such a good mama.
He is just too cute! Love that sweet face!
I am so happy to hear that he is doing well. Hope you feel better soon so you can hold him and snap tons of pictures! I will continue to pray for your little guy and all those other NICU babies!
Hope you get well fast so you can cuddle with that little guy! I'm glad to see his feeds are going well. He'll be downing a bottle before you know it! I'll keep praying!
Jenna, I follow your blog through Kelly's and her's through a friend of mine. We had some of the same issues with our now healthy 3 yr. old. Not only did they do the swallow study but they also did a test to check the acid level in her stomach from the reflux? We used the simply thick in the formula too. We are praying for Brayden in Ohio! Hang in there!!
Praying for you to feel better soon. Rest! Praying for Brayden too!
Hi Jenna, I just wanted you to know the I added your button to my blog and that we are praying for little Brayden. My daughter was born at 27 weeks and spent 11 weeks in the NICU. I tell you it was one scary crazy ride! She also had to have a swallow study and put on Simply Thick. She eventually started nursing so we don't need it anymore but it worked wonders for her when we used it. If you want support from another "NICU Mommy" feel free to stop by my blog. I'll be praying for you and your family. God Bless.

Glad to hear that he is doing so well!! Get better soon!!!
My son, Ferris, was born at 36 weeks with Pulmonary Hypertension. It was one of the worst times in my life, and we came extremely close to losing him. I wanted to tell you, Ferris turned 2 last Staurday, is a big, vibrant boy who loves to play rough and tumble. You have gone through the worst of this and are out the other side. If you ever need to talk to a Mum who has gone through exactly what you have, drop me a message. You and yous are in my thoughts.
He is absolutely precious! Happy 3 weeks Brayden!
I hope you're feeling better soon.
Oh, Brayden is looking so great! Wow, three weeks old! I'll continue praying for him, and hopefully he is able to take the bottle like a champ and can go home soon!
Feel better quickly! Sinus infections are awful, and especially if it's keeping you from loving on your little guy!
He is so cute!!! So glad things are moving along...you are going to be home before you know it!!!
Please give him a hug for me and tell him I said Happy 3 weeks :)!
He is so sweet - praying for him still that he will continue to do well!
Jenna, Brayden is just a doll and we are delighted he is doing better each day. Getting rid of that PICC line was probably a blessing! We are still praying for you all and hope you get to go home soon!
Just think, Harper and Brayden will be having BIG 1st birthday parties this time next year!! We have sooooo much to be thankful for!
Give Brayden a big smooch on his sweet little head for me!
Just prayed for you all.
We'll continue to pray that he catches on quickly to the whole "eating thing." All three of my kids had a really hard time feeding at first and they didn't even have the rough start Brayden did!
Praying, praying, praying...
Jenna, he is beautiful. I am still praying hard in Branson, MO for your sweet family.
